Aria Riding is rumored to be the invisible face of several writers of different genders, persuasions, mental health states, and ethnic backgrounds who have become one, as a solidarity project–a collective voice, that, while offering no promises of originality and quality, is a refutation of the illusion of individual achievement: that cornerstone of our superficial, unlivable society. Riding refutes this. There is only one Aria Riding. Publications/acceptances include Tin House, Gargoyle Magazine, Atticus Books, Lydia Lunch’s Widowspeak, Conjunctions, The Adirondack Review, Sex and Guts, etc. Let it be said: getting into certain magazines, of “better reputation” wasted much more time and did not mean being surrounded by work of better quality. Aria’s Project is working to do something to help real artists circumvent this superficial bullshit.
